Hi guys.

Havent really had much time to update the blog in almost 2 months but I have found some time to do this tonight.

Jess and I have been very busy with work; Jess is loving her job as an electrical apprentice and I am loving my new job as a cable guy.

Weather has been hot the last couple of months with only a day or two of rain and blue sky every day with no clouds in the sky which makes doing things out doors really fun but extremly hot when working.
I am looking forward to winter; I cant think of a time in New Zealand when I couldnt wait for winter but being 40 degrees celcious or more each day puts things into perspectve.

Being a cable guy is fun; I get to go to other peoples houses and install and fix their cable TV, internet and telephone; the pay isnt that great but the benifets are really really good which is what matters.
Last friday I finished new hire class which was a 2 week class learning to wire houses of all sorts and trouble shoot them.
Then I had another class which was a week long called HSI (High Speed internet) Where they taught us how to install the cable modems on customers computers, provision them and get them up online.

At the moment Jess and I are in the middle of buying our first house; we have picked out a house and have been approved for a loan; the deal should close in a couple of weeks.

Just before I started my new job Jess and i decided to purchase a baby quaker parrot which is still at the petshop because it is being weaned; The cage for the parrot arrived on friday night which we brought brand new on ebay for $200 (including the $90 shipping to get it here) the cage retails in petstores around town for about $600; yeah I think we got a good deal on that cage.

Today Jess and I went and visited the ‘Yuba River’ in california; its about a 2 hour drive from here in Reno; we swum, jumped from rocks into the water and slid down water falls.
