Not much to update on but heres just a few things going on in our lives at the moment.

Jess and I havent started working yet; we start this wednsday since they had to delay starting work by one week due to some unknown reason but we are really looking forward to starting work.

Last week we had Jessicas Grandma’s Birthday dinner which Jess and I cooked; we cooked roast beef with roast potatoes, carrots, onions, sweet potatoe and NZ pumpkin (which I found in a supermarket here but it is not called pumpkin; its a sqaush here; the US pumpkins are big and yellow with white flesh).
I also made a pumpkin soup which everyone loved execpt Jess.

On Thursday night for dinner we went to the Hilton Hotel for dinner at the Lodge Buffet which was awsome.
All you can eat buffet with a HUGE selection of food including giant crab legs which were yummy.

Last week we also got our cable TV upgraded; we now have over 300 channels which are digital with a DVR box (digital video recorder) which means we can record our tv shows automatically to the Hard-drive that is connected to the TV and watch the tv shows when we want to which is good for shows that are on when we are not home; we can record 2 tv shows at once and watch one aswell.
Another great feature is the fact that you can pause and rewind live tv which is good when you are watching the news and need to go to the bathroom or answer the phone.

Thanks Giving is next week and so we will be having the traditional American family Thanks giving turkey with all the trimmings.. yummy.
